Friday fish fry. The food was excellent. The servings were large. The fried walleye with lemon pepper bragging was 'way too salty. Unless you like it that way, ask them to go light on the seasoning and then salt. We also tried the bluegill. It too was excellent. The tartar sauce, the coleslaw, the fries, and the rye bread were surprisingly good. But the onion rings were exquisite. My wife and I considered our meals to be a great value. I had to strip the breading off of my walleye because of the salt, but just the fish was delicious. Removed one star because of that. We will be back.
Fun town-y bar. Menu is a true Wisconsin bar (lots of deep fried food and burgers). Our bartender was super friendly and very attentive! Love the atmosphere being right of the lake! Seems to be newly renovated which I would count as a plus!
Visiting from out of town and was looking for a Fish Fry. Glad we came here-great perch and love the skinny fries! The place looks like it's been recently renovated-very clean. Our waitress, Rachael was the best! Enjoy talking with the owners Mike and Annie. I will definitely be back! I heard they will be having a Sunday Brunch!
Very happy. My daughter and I stopped by today for lunch on New Year's Eve @ 2pm. The young man bartender/cook was great. Steak bites-5 stars, Mozz Sticks (huge)-5stars, Patty Melt-4 stars. We will be back. Gotta love the gems off the beaten path.
Great fish fry in a classic Wisconsin bar setting (with a view of the lake!). I love a place that offers walleye AND bluegill. Go for the potato pancakes. They are so flavorful you don’t even need syrup or sauce!
Great bar food, beer, and friendly staff. Trivia in Wednesday nights is fun.
They are starting Sunday morning breakfast/brunch. Food was really good!! Stop in and enjoy the view of Golden Lake and have some food!! Oh and don't forget a bloody mary.....delish!!!
The new owners of Golden Lake Pub have kicked it up a few notches with some delicious meals. We had their grouper on Friday August 19 and both of our meals were delicious. Just had their crab cakes Benedict and those were over the top delicious. Check them out, friendly staff and good service. We'll be back!
